A tested breaker on its way the day yours fails
We hold many tested units in the UK*. When a breaker or contactor fails, we fly a matching unit out the same day and repair yours as the next spare.

How exchange works
- Report the fault with the nameplate photo. We check stock for the same model, rating and accessory voltages.
- We ship the same day if a matching unit is in stock, tested and certified, by air: about 3 days to your site.
- You fit it and send yours back in the same crate, with the paperwork we provide.
- We repair your original. It becomes your next spare, or is credited against the exchange, as agreed in the quote.
*Subject to model and rating. Tell us the exact model, frame size, trip unit and accessory voltages and we'll confirm availability before you commit.
Where exchange makes sense
- Wind fleets: a turbine waiting on a 690 V main breaker or grid contactor is a turbine not generating
- Data centers: no time to run without a redundant incomer or bus-tie
- Production lines where a failed contactor stops the line
- Obsolete ranges where the manufacturer no longer has stock: Masterpact M, first-generation Emax, TeSys F
Running a fleet? We can agree a rolling exchange pool for the models on your sites, so the swap is pre-approved and nothing waits on a purchase order.
Exchange questions
Which models do you hold?
We hold many tested units across the ranges we repair, but stock changes, so availability is subject to model and rating. Send the nameplate and we'll confirm the same working day.
Will the exchange unit match my settings?
We set the trip unit to the settings you give us and test it before it ships. Your engineer should confirm the settings on site against your coordination study before energizing.
Does an exchange unit carry a warranty?
Yes. It ships with its own test certificate and the warranty that applies to the work done on it, stated on the quote.
What if my original can't be repaired?
We'll tell you after the strip-down, with photos. You can then keep the exchange unit outright, priced as agreed.

A photo of the nameplate and the fault is enough for a first answer. We reply the same working day with a recommendation and a price for diagnosis and freight.
