What counts as an overhaul
An overhaul or refurbishment is the full job: the breaker stripped to its frame, the operating mechanism dismantled, cleaned and rebuilt, contacts assessed and dressed or replaced, coils and motor checked or renewed, and the trip unit tested across every protection element. Those units carry 24 months.
A repair fixes a specific fault, such as a failed charging motor, a broken handle or a burnt coil, and is followed by the same testing. Repairs carry 12 months.
Your quote states which one you're getting, so there's no argument later.
What's covered
- Our workmanship on everything we worked on
- The components we supplied and fitted
- Correct operation and protection performance as tested and certified
What isn't
- Damage from faults downstream, incorrect settings changed after delivery, or installation errors
- Damage in transit on freight you arranged yourself
- Parts we didn't work on and were told not to replace
- Normal wear from operation beyond the manufacturer's rated life
Making a claim from the US
Email us with the certificate number, a description of the problem and photos. We'll respond the same working day, agree the next step with you, and arrange the return. You pay the freight to send the unit back; if the claim is valid, we refund it. Where downtime matters, ask about a tested exchange unit* while yours is looked at.
*Subject to model and rating. Full terms are given with every quote.
Warranty questions
Do I need a maintenance contract to keep the 24-month warranty?
No. For US customers the 24 months on an overhaul or refurbishment stands on its own.
When does the warranty start?
From delivery of the repaired unit to you.
Does the warranty cover the trip unit?
It covers the work we did on it and any parts we fitted, and its performance as tested on the certificate. If the trip unit was outside the scope you approved, the quote says so.
Who pays freight on a warranty claim?
You pay the freight to return the unit. If the claim is valid, we refund it and put the unit right at our cost.
Send us the nameplate
A photo of the nameplate and the fault is enough for a first answer. We reply the same working day with a recommendation and a price for diagnosis and freight.
